Day 1 – Fes to Merzouga via Azrou, Cedar Forests and Ziz Valley. Erg Chebbi Camel Trek

We will depart at 8:00 am from your riad or hotel directly to the Sahara desert.  The journey takes approximately 9 hours, a long drive but amazing landscapes are to be seen, across the Atlas Mountains to a beautiful oasis, Ziz Valley, which is full of palm trees.  We will make stops for photographs at your request. We will stop in the cedar forest of Azrou to see the monkeys, and Midelt for lunch.  We will travel to the famous small Sahara cities of Arfoud and Erissani, before arriving to the Sahara desert itself. You will enjoy the sunset on the way to the berber camp on the camel back in Erg chebbi. A fascinating reddish dunes up 150 m high. Overnight  berber camp.

Day 2 – Merzouga to Boumalne Dades via dades Gorge

After your breakfast we leave the sahara and head towards the old underground system of irrigation that is still used in the oasis of Eljerf to save as much as possible of water from vaporization .A break on the way in Tinjidad .We will have lunch in valley of Toudra. It is considered as one of the oldest valley in Morocco for caravan trading and where the first Moroccan money was made out of silver.A beautiful valley of 15 km of date palms ends up with a spectacular Gorges, mainly used for rock climbing and  where local picnic in summer days. We embark on Dades valley which has an astonishing rock formation made by million years of erosion. We spend the night in a nice local hotel by the river of Dades and surrounded by high  mountains. Overnight in Dades Valley.

Day 3 –  Dades Valley to Marrakesh

Last day We will carry on to valley of roses, the only place in Morocco where we harvest Damascus rose of which we extract some products like rose water and rose oil best for skin treatment and anti-wrinkles. We drive  through ,Skoura ,an old oasis of thousands palm groves and ancient Kasbahs berber forts. Then, we head to Ait Ben Haddou village we will go for a walk to visit this ancient village. An old village where a list of movie credits were made starting with the first movies “Lawrence of Arabia”, ”Jesus of Nazareth”, ”Gladiator” and the list is still going. It is also listed in UNISCO as a site of world heritage and national culture in 1987. We cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi-n-Tichka(2260 m alt) . A spectacular windy road to Marrakech. End of tour.
